About Kalu Waterfall 

Malshej Ghat is a mountain pass in India’s Maharashtra state that is part of the Western Ghats Range. Some of the many species of birds that call this area home are quails, cuckoos, and flamingos. Beautiful waterfalls and lush valleys await exploration in the nearby highlands. Visitors who like to partake in exciting pursuits and learn about the local wildlife flock to this area.

Within the Western Ghats mountain range, the Indian state of Maharashtra is home to a mountain pass known as Malshej Ghat. This region is home to a vast array of avian life, including quails, flamingos, and cuckoos. You can also discover breathtaking waterfalls and verdant oases in the surrounding hills here. This tourist destination is well-known among those who enjoy adventurous activities and exploring the flora and fauna of a region

Travel Schedule

We’ll be boarding non-A/C bus from our nearest pickup point. Bus timings are shared below for convenience:10.30 pm: Borivali SGNP
10.45 pm: Oberoi Mall, Goregaon
11.00 pm: Hanuman Bus Stop Andheri – End of Andheri Flyover
11.15 pm: Sion Lunch Home, Sion
11.25 pm: Amar Mahal , Ghatkopar
11.45 pm: Teen Hath Naka, Thane

Meeting Point : National Park Gate Borivali 10:00 pm

Itinerary

04:30 am Reach Base village, freshen up, gear up for the trek
05:30 am Have Breakfast, Tea and start the bus journey toward the start point of the trek.
06:45 AM: Reach the start point
07:00 AM: Start descending towards Malshej Ghat jungle.
10:30 AM: Visit Kalu waterfall and start trekking Back toward the base village.
01:30 PM: Reach Base Village, Get freshened up
02:30 PM: Have Lunch
04:00 PM: Start return journey to Mumbai.
10:00 PM: Reach Mumbai and bid adieu with a promise to meet soon.

Includes

The cost per head includes the following.

• Bus travel from Mumbai to Mumbai

Cost Excludes

• All kinds of extra meals / soft drinks ordered.
• Insurance, tips, porters, bottled mineral water, aerated drinks etc.
• Any kind of personal expenses.
• Any kind of cost which is not mentioned in the cost includes above.
• All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like road blocks, bad weather.

Things to carry

• Some ready to eat food like- plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc
• 2 Litres of water must
• Good trekking shoes
• Torch with extra batteries
• Extra pair of clothes, socks optional
• Cap, Camera as Optional
• 1 packet of electrol, enerzal, glucon-D
• Medications if required for individual
• Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible
• And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.

Important Notes

• Basic toilet facility will be available at the base village. Considering it is an outdoor activity, please prepare accordingly.
• We advise participant with any medical issues /history not to opt for this event. Still If he/she does so, it should be at the participant’s risk. The management won’t be responsible for any incident.
• Considering complicated route and respecting everyone’s time, we will not entertain any participant reaching base village by his/her own vehicle. One can come till meeting point by his/her vehicle and park it there and join our transport from there.
• Smoking/drinking/smoke up is strictly prohibited during the event. Anyone found doing so will be immediately expelled from the event.
• We request you to go through the complete itinerary. Since it is a group event, we will not be in position to entertain any request of leaving early from the event. Respecting the fellow trek buddies, please adhere to the schedule and take back lovely memories.
