Duke’s Nose trek in Lonavala is one of the best treks to traverse the mysticism of its nocturnal. Nagphani, later known as Duke’s Nose is the snake-shaped cliff nestled between the pretty little hills of Lonavala and Khandala, a must in your to-do list.  Aeolian music & hazy fog makes the trekking trail a dauntless one. Take this opportunity to witness nature more prominently. The name Dukes ‘nose is acquired after Duke Wellington.

 During the monsoon, it’s considered as the trekker’s delight. People from Mumbai and Pune flock in large numbers. A 50-60 minutes walk takes you to the top of Duke’s nose. Valley crossing from Dukes to Duchess Nose is a great enjoyment due to the deep valleys. Dukes Nose Camping gives you the enthralling experience. While Rappelling from the Duke’s Nose is a thrilling affair with a blend of 90 Degree Rappelling  & Deep Valley View.

The magnificent view of nature, the stillness in the valleys, the quietness of the night sky, the ardent flames of colors during the sunset, the fun of staying in the tents, etc. Just be there to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Western Ghats, Mumbai – Pune expressway and the surrounding Sahyadri peaks, etc. Indulge yourself in some adventure to get away with weekday chaos.

Travel Schedule

We’ll be boarding non-A/C bus from our nearest pickup point. Bus timings are shared below for convenience:

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday

• 10:00 PM: Meet at Borivali Station West. & other pickups.
  (Bus Route: Borivali- Goregaon- Sion – Navi Mumbai – Panvel)

Day 2: Sunday

• 5:30 AM: Reach Base village & time to rest.
• 6:00 AM: Wake up Call. Breakfast Time !
• 7.30 AM : Start trekking after brief instructions.
• 9:30 AM : Reach at top & time to enjoy Panoramic View.
• 10:30 AM: Start return trek to Village.
• 12.30 PM: Reach Base village and enjoy Lunch.
• 2:30 PM: Start return journey to Mumbai.

Event Fee: Rs.1290/- per person. Payment once done is non-refundable, do check for availability before making a payment.

Includes

The cost per head includes the following.

• Transportation from Mumbai to Mumbai Breakfast and Lunch
• Local guidance
• First aid and first attender assistance in case required
• MPA administration charges if any
• Do read our terms and conditions before registration

Cost Excludes

• All kinds of extra meals / soft drinks ordered.
• Insurance, tips, porters, bottled mineral water, aerated drinks etc.
• Any kind of personal expenses.
• Any kind of cost which is not mentioned in the cost includes above.
• All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like roadblocks, bad weather.

Things to carry

• Identity Card
• Some ready to eat food like- plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc
• 2 Litres of water must
• Torch and shoes (Compulsory)
• Extra pair of clothes, socks optional
• Cap, Camera as Optional
• 1 packet of electrol, enerzal, glucon-D
• Medications if required for individual
• Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible
• And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.

Important Notes:

• Toilet Facility is not available at the base village. Considering it an outdoor activity, please prepare accordingly.
• We advise participant with any medical issues /history not to opt for this event. Still If he/she does so, it should be at the participant’s risk. The management won’t be responsible for any incident.
• Considering complicated route and respecting everyone’s time, we will not entertain any participant reaching base village by his/her own vehicle. One can come till meeting point by his/her vehicle and park it there and join our transport from there.
• Smoking/drinking/smoke up is strictly prohibited during the event. Anyone found doing so will be immediately expelled from the event.
• We request you to go through the complete itinerary. Since it is a group event, we will not be in position to entertain any request of leaving early from the event. Respecting the fellow trekmates, please adhere to the schedule and take back lovely memories.
