3 Days in Historical hampi

On this half year ending night, browsing through insta profile I came across this Hampi 3D/2N Trip by Mumbai Pune adventures (MPA). As I am an adventure junky, architecture never attracted my sight. To my dismay, this trip actually did. I packed my bags, buckled-up my shoes and there I was.
It was around 4pm we began from Borivali bus depot and reached Hospet around 8:30-9am on 1st friday morning of my birthday month. Before reaching Hospet, from window panes what captured my heart was marvellous architecture of Hampi. Yes, I ain’t that kinda person, but one can’t fail to fall in love with the vibe this city offers. Hospet is the nearest stop to reach Hampi, from where we took our 1st ride in a ‘Tum Tum Rickshaw’ to Hampi  Village where we had our stays arranged.

We covered all the places mentioned in Itinerary of day 1. Surprised? Yes, I was too, but as the stay was just a walking distance away, it made everything easy-pisy. Not to forget having serenity at Hemakuta hills. Most mesmerizing sunset with a panaroma view of Hampi I always imagined in paintings.

Day 2 was my day. I tell you why? It was reserved for 20-25mins coracle ride ( inclusive) and cliff jumping from 25-30 feets into Sanapur lake. (If the participant intends to experience one more time, they are welcome with extra cost, which are actually very minimal, depending upon the season of the year.) We had another option of coracle ride into Tungabhadra river too.

It was around 4:30pm – 5pm we were ascending to Anjaneya hill. It has the characteristic whitewash zigzag stairs to the hilltop is believed to be the birthplace of Hanuman. What a lustrous sunset from this hilltop. Last day we all decked up and trekked up to Matanga hill for sunrise. It is the tallest hill in Hampi. What caught my attention was that the entire Hampi was in front of me and I did not intend to return back. after Matanga hills we visited Vittala Temple and chariot. Vijayanagar kingdom and it’s history is worth giving an ear too.

Every nook and corner of Hampi is fascinating. Now I know why it is bagpackers paradise. It is still so raw and unexplored that every visit to Hampi will give new magnetic effect to bagpack next trip.
Bidding adieu is always the saddest part but making memories isn’t. There’s no looking back, but I am surely going to comeback with new wishlist and new google locations.

Hi…I just enjoyed reading the narration of your trip and found informative…But at the end of the article, I find that there needs to have more details than what you gave…It should be like a travel vlog which covers completeness of your trip…Photographs are really beautiful and they are guiding force for non-goer…Missing is what you ate during your trip…? Was everything available at ease…? Something like this…Do keep updating your travelling programs and also keep posting photographs…All the best…
